I took off in my car one winter day, determined to find something beautiful. That’s not difficult for most people, but as a landscape and floral artist, I thrive on lush green fields. Grays, browns, pale blues—and more gray—don’t exactly thrill me.

Then I came across this serene homestead tucked into a copse of trees along Reed Road, south of Geneva, New York. Something about the snowy fields, bare trees, and distant barn pulled me in. I knew I was beginning to fall in love with winter.
